Coal stock at Indian power plants rises to 61.3 MT, sufficient for 25 days of use

India’s thermal power plants have achieved a record coal stockpile of 61.3 million tonnes, sufficient for 25 days of consumption, thanks to increased silo loading. This mechanized process, now accounting for 29% of coal loading, ensures uniform sizing and reliable operations. Ministers are focused on expanding silo infrastructure to further improve coal logistics.
