Mika Singh urges Diljit Dosanjh to apologise over Hania Aamir’s casting in Sardaar Ji 3: “He must apologise and remove all the objectionable scenes from the movie”

Mika Singh has called on Diljit Dosanjh to issue an apology amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the casting of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3. Taking to his Instagram Stories, Mika shared a brief note, stating that they are willing to forgive Diljit if he publicly apologises and removes all “objectionable” scenes from the film.

Mika wrote, “Guys, I understand we all make mistakes in life. But when we do, there’s one simple word that holds power: Sorry. If Diljit made a mistake, we are all willing to forgive. But he must apologise and remove all the objectionable scenes from the movie. That’s it. No hate. Just respect. Desh pehle (Nation first).”

This statement comes just a day after Mika Singh strongly criticised Diljit Dosanjh in a previous note, expressing anger over his collaboration with a Pakistani actress. He called Diljit a “fake singer” and slammed him for being insensitive to the current India-Pakistan tensions.

“Guys, as we all know, the relationship between India and Pakistan isn’t going well right now. Yet some people continue to act irresponsibly. Before releasing any content that involves artists from across the border, they should think twice — especially when our nation’s dignity is involved,” Mika wrote.

He further referenced past backlash, saying, “There was a film featuring Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor that many of us opposed, and yet, some still don’t seem to get the message. What’s more shocking is that a fake singer, after doing 10 shows in India with thousands of fans buying tickets, has now disappeared — leaving fans betrayed and helpless.”

Meanwhile, Diljit Dosanjh recently broke his silence on the controversy, telling BBC Asian Network that the project was completed before the current political tensions arose. He clarified that the film was shot and wrapped up prior to the escalation of any issues between the two countries.
