Rains across Maharashtra for next 3 days, Yellow alert for 30 districts: IMD

After a brief pause, the monsoon is likely to become active for the next three days. The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains, strong winds and lightning for three days, almost all over Maharashtra. A yellow alert has been issued for about 30 districts, including Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Nagpur, and Chhatrapatinagar. The farmers have been asked to remain alert during the period.

According to IMD, light to medium rains, lightning, and winds with high speed could strike Konkan, Central Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Vidarbha regions.

A yellow alert has been issued for Konkan, Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Central Maharashtra – Pune, Nashik, Jalgaon, Dhule, Satara, Sangli, Solapur, Ahmednagar, Marathwada – Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Beed, Hingoli, Parbhani, Dharashiv, Vidarbha – Nagpur, Akola, Amravati, Wardha, Yavatmal, Washim, Buldana, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Bhandara, and Gondia.
