Renaissance Bengaluru Race Course Hotel, by Marriott has launched its own in-house water bottling plant

This initiative is a significant milestone in the hotel’s journey towards reducing its environmental footprint while continuing to deliver high-quality guest experiences.
Equipped with cutting-edge Boon technology, the plant has the capacity to produce between 2500 to 3000 bottles per day, efficiently covering the hotel’s daily water requirements. The semi-automatic system includes advanced features such as 72-degree Celsius bottle washing for optimal hygiene, UV sterilisation for safety, and automated capping to ensure consistency and quality. Each bottle undergoes thorough quality control measures, including regular physical, chemical, and microbiological testing to meet the highest standards of purity.
By bringing water production in-house, the hotel significantly reduces dependency on external bottled water suppliers. This shift not only lowers carbon emissions associated with transportation but also allows for better control over packaging and waste management. The initiative is complemented by sustainable practices such as water conservation, plastic recycling, and the use of eco-friendly packaging materials, further reinforcing the hotel’s dedication to responsible operations.
The plant operates under a preventive and predictive maintenance schedule, ensuring smooth functionality and long-term operational efficiency. This approach helps minimise equipment downtime and reduces resource wastage, making it a scalable and environmentally conscious model for hospitality sustainability.

Speaking about the launch, Sita Lekshmi, General Manager of Renaissance Bengaluru Race Course Hotel, said, “The launch of the in-house water bottling plant reflects the hotel’s broader vision of integrating sustainability. We believe that even the smallest changes, when done consistently, can have a powerful impact.”
