TVS Apache RTR 160 & RTR 180 Expected To Launch Soon
TVS is set to launch the updated RTR 160 2V and RTR 180 2V in India. The bike manufacturer shared a teaser on its social media pages, signalling a launch that may happen sooner rather than later.
Expected Changes
TVS has remained tight-lipped about the updates. However, it is safe to assume that both bikes will comply with the latest OBD-2B emission norms. You cannot rule out the availability of new graphics to freshen up the look of the bikes.
TVS is expected to keep the same power output and displacement of the bikes. A 159.7cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine powers the RTR 160 2V, generating 15.82 HP at 8750 RPM and 13.85 Nm of torque at 7000 RPM.
At the same time, the RTR 180 powers a 177.4cc air/oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine. The engine produces 16.78 HP at 9000 RPM and 15.5 Nm of torque at 7000 RPM. A 5-speed gearbox pairs with both the engines.
Outlook
The Apache RTR 160 2V and RTR 180 2V have been on sale for some time, and a long-overdue update is imminent. The Apache twins’ popularity has been similar to the Pulsar 220F’s popularity in certain regions. Their appeal lies in their low-end grunt and short wheelbase, making them ideal for stunting.
